The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s is back . This year, we’re all about choices: you can choose to be a virtual participant or attend an in-person walk. Regardless of your decision, we’re still challenging you to walk and to fundraise in honour of people living with dementia and those that care for them.

Starting in May, you can complete your steps in any way that you choose—in one day, in one week, or over the whole month!

This May, every step you take will help people living with dementia, their care partners, and their families in your community know that they do not walk on this journey alone.

HOW MANY STEPS WILL YOU TAKE TO SUPPORT PEOPLE LIVING WITH DEMENTIA?

  • 2,800 steps in honour of every person living with dementia in Brantford & Brant County
  • 2,500 steps in honour of every person living with dementia in Haldimand Norfolk
  • 11,000 steps in honour of every person living with dementia in Hamilton
  • 11,000 steps in honour of every person living with dementia in Halton
  • 27,300 steps in honour of every person living with dementia in our region of Brant, Haldimand Norfolk, Hamilton Halton
  • 265,000 steps in honour of every person living with dementia in Ontario
  • 564,000 steps in honour of every person living with dementia in Canada

In-Person events are scheduled for Saturday, May 28, 2022 (subject to local health guidelines).

Often our supporters will create their own fundraising activities to support the Alzheimer Society.  These activities are known as Anything for Alzheimer’s events.

Check out the Anything for Alzheimer’s website to see what activities are happening today!
