Memories in an Hourglass 2026

Dear Golfers, Guests, Sponsors, Volunteers & Friends,

It has taken us a little while to put into words everything we felt following this year’s Memories in an Hourglass Golf Tournament.

What an incredible day it was!

We were blessed with beautiful weather, lots of laughter, friendly competition, great music and, most importantly, a day filled with people coming together to make memories.

As many of you know, we began the day believing this would be our final Memories in an Hourglass Golf Tournament. After so many wonderful years, Paul and I felt perhaps it was time to bring this special chapter to a close.

But then the day unfolded.

We looked around the wonderful golf course and saw so many familiar faces who have returned year after year, along with so many new golfers joining us for the first time. We heard your stories, your encouragement and your kind words. We felt your support and saw just how much this tournament has come to mean to so many people.

By the end of the evening, our hearts had changed.

How could we stop something that continues to bring so many people together?

So, with a lot of emotion and excitement, we announced that Memories in an Hourglass will continue! 💜⛳

From the fun on the course throughout the day to the wonderful evening together and the fantastic music provided by Just Us, there was such an amazing energy. Seeing everyone laughing, dancing, visiting with old friends and making new ones reminded Paul and I exactly why we started this tournament.

And now we are thrilled to share the result of all that generosity.

In late June, we had the honour of presenting the Alzheimer’s Society with a cheque for $11,500 from this 2026 tournament!

Even more incredible, since Memories in an Hourglass began, together we have now raised over $59,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society.

That number belongs to all of us.

• Every golfer who registered.
• Every guest who joined us.
• Every sponsor who supported us.
• Every business and individual who donated a prize.
• Every volunteer who gave their time.
• Every person who bought a ticket, shared our event or simply encouraged us to keep going.

You have all helped turn an idea that was very personal to our family into something much bigger than we ever imagined.

The name Memories in an Hourglass has always held a special meaning for us. Life moves quickly, and our memories and the moments we share with the people we love are precious. This tournament continues to remind us to enjoy those moments, make new memories and support those whose lives have been touched by the Alzheimer’s disease.

To our returning golfers and guests, thank you for continuing this journey with us. To everyone who joined us for the first time this year, we hope you felt the warmth and spirit of this very special day; and we hope we will see you again next year!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making 2026 a day we will never forget.
