Hosted on Saturday, August 26th at the beautiful, new Confederation Beach Park Pickleball Complex, the ‘Dinks vs. Dementia’ event was a smashing success. Featuring 16 teams and over 130 participants, the first-time event raised over $8,000!

There was plenty of excitement, action, smiles and camaraderie. With clever and fun names, like ‘Dispickleball Us’, ‘Drill Pickles’ and ‘Livin’ on a Dink’, the teams participated in an event that focused on: healthy, active living; the joy of play; community engagement; and the sharing of stories connected to the impact of dementia-related illness on family, friends and loved ones.
