On November 3, 2024, Rose crossed the finish line of the Hamilton Marathon Road2Hope, achieving not only a personal milestone but also a deeply meaningful goal. She had run 42 kilometers to raise funds for the Alzheimer Society, inspired by her father’s battle with Alzheimer’s disease. For Rose, this was more than just a race—it was a way to honor her father, support her family, and contribute to programs and services that serve the families affected by this disease.

Rose shared her motivation on her fundraising page,: “It has been painful to see my dad slowly lose his ability to do simple things, his recollection of family, his personality, and his self-confidence. This disease doesn’t just impact him; it affects all of us, especially my mom.”

Determined to turn her personal struggle into action, she set a goal to raise $5,000. She not only completed the marathon but also hit her fundraising target, inspiring others with her story.

Rose’s journey is a reminder that we all have the power to make a difference.
