Simcoe, ON, October 4, 2023 — The Alzheimer Society of Brant, Haldimand Norfolk, Hamilton Halton and it’s foundation, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Lewis as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Michelle brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role, poised to carry forward the impactful legacy left by Mary Burnett, who served as CEO for an admirable 16 years.
Michelle Lewis steps into her new position with a demonstrated dedication to the Alzheimer Society’s mission of enhancing the quality of life for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease, as well as their families and caregivers. With a rich background in non-profit leadership and a strong focus on community engagement, Michelle is well-equipped to steer the organization into a future of continued growth and positive influence.
Mary Burnett, the outgoing CEO, has been instrumental in leading the Alzheimer Society through numerous milestones over her 16-year tenure. Under her guidance, the organization expanded its services, increased community awareness, and forged critical partnerships. As Michelle takes on the mantle, she is committed to building on this foundation and further advancing the Alzheimer Society’s mission.
